1. Introduction & Educational Disclaimer

Welcome to IonianCherry (https://ioniancherry.com). Please Note: This website is an educational project created by students of the Department of Informatics at the Ionian University. While we simulate the experience of a real e-commerce store, no commercial contracts are formed, and this project is for academic demonstration purposes only.

By accessing this website, you agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions.

2. How to Order

Placing an order at IonianCherry is simple and secure. Follow these steps:

  1. Browse: Navigate through our categories (Men, Women, Accessories) and select the item you like.

  2. Add to Cart: Choose your size and color, then click “Add to Cart”.

  3. Checkout: Go to your cart and proceed to checkout. You can checkout as a Guest or Log in.

  4. Details: Enter your shipping and billing information.

  5. Payment: Select your preferred payment method and complete the transaction.

  6. Confirmation: You will receive an automated email confirming your order details.

2. Products

We sell physical goods including clothes, shoes, and accessories.

  • Colors & Sizing: We have made every effort to display the colors and images of our products as accurately as possible. We cannot guarantee that your computer monitor’s display of any color will be accurate.

  • Availability: All products are subject to availability. We reserve the right to discontinue any product at any time.

3. Account & Guest Checkout

You may purchase items as a Guest or by creating a Registered Account.

  • Guest Checkout: No account is required to make a purchase.

  • Registered Account: Creating an account allows you to track orders, save addresses, and participate in our Loyalty Program, where you can earn points for discounts on future campaigns.

  • Security: You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials.

4. Pricing & Payment Methods

All prices are listed in Euros (€) and not include VAT (simulated). We ensure Secure Transactions using SSL encryption. We accept the following payment methods:

  • Credit/Debit Cards: Secure processing via Stripe (Visa, Mastercard, Amex).

  • PayPal: Fast and secure checkout.

  • Revolut: Pay instantly using your Revolut account or card for a seamless experience.

  • Digital Wallets: Apple Pay & Google Pay (via Stripe).

  • Direct Bank Transfer

  • Cash on Delivery

5. Shipping & Delivery

We ship to the Greek Mainland, Ionian Islands, Aegean Islands, and Crete. Our main parteners are ACS and ELTA Courier.

Shipping Costs & Calculation

Our shipping costs are calculated automatically at checkout based on your delivery zone (Mainland vs. Islands) and the type of products in your cart.

  • Calculation Logic: If your order contains items from different shipping classes (e.g., “Shoes” and “Accessories”), the system will charge the shipping cost for the most expensive shipping class in the cart.

  • Standard Rates:

    • Mainland: Starts from approximately €1,50. (3,50 is the most expensive)

    • Islands: Starts from approximately €3,50. (5,00 is the most expensive)

Free Shipping

We offer Free Shipping on all orders with a subtotal of €49.99 or more.

Order Tracking

Once your order has been shipped, you will receive a generic confirmation email containing a Tracking Number and a link to our courier partner’s website.

  • Registered Users: You can also view the status of your order at any time by logging into your account and visiting the “Orders” section.

  • Guests: You will receive updates purely via email.

For both Users and Guests there is the “Track Order” section to check the status of a specific order.

6. Returns & Refunds

Our Return Policy lasts 30 days.

  • Items must be unused and in original packaging.

  • Hygiene: We do not accept returns on underwear or swimwear if the hygiene seal is broken.

7. Limitation of Liability

As this is an educational project:

  • We are not liable for any actual financial loss or delivery failure, as no real commercial transaction takes place.

  • We do not guarantee that the use of our service will be uninterrupted, timely, secure, or error-free.

8. Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Greece and the regulations of the Ionian University.
